Helping an elderly neighbor avoid a fine or court date is always gratifying, and important work, but sometimes there is a need for return visits. Our goal is to help neighbors find peace on their properties and to stay in their homes as long as it is safe to do so.
Some seniors could use a hand a few hours a month from a caring, nearby neighbor and towards that end we are encouraging neighbors to adopt an elderly neighbor on their block to perform basic property care. You would help by mowing the lawn every 2 – 3 weeeks to keep it within city length requirements, caring for any bushes or garden areas and to see that any storm debris is picked up, etc.
When you sign up we will match you to someone in your area who has asked for help. We will come along to help make introductions as well.
