Our elderly neighbor was dealing with her own health issues as well as her daughters untreated schizophrenia. The daughter lived on the streets but returned occassionally to steal things to sell. We cleaned out her back yard and set up a place for her consisting of a chimenea, a stock of firewood and a bench where she could sit and hopefully find some peace. She was no longer facing an expensive abatement.
