Removing a dead tree

A retired secretary had a very dead tree close to her house. Despite being eaten alive in her own home by fleas and bedbugs, she was more concerned about the tree dropping branches on neighbors cars or passersby on the sidewalk. I got her a $1500 grant and a local tree company dropped the tree and agreed to leave the waste on the ground for us to clear, which provided a significant savings for her. She didn’t have the finances to deal with her bug problem so I advocated with our Adult Protective Services and Elderly Services Agency to get her an exterminator. This was successful and now this woman is peacefully in her home. All of our elders deserve to at least have a shot at finding peace in their homes!
